This week, Contained in the Hive cohost Joe Hagan talks to New York Occasions columnist Charles M. Blow about his provocative new guide, The Satan You Know: A Black Energy Manifesto, which proposes a reverse migration of younger Black individuals from northern cities to the South to attempt replicating what Stacey Abrams achieved in Georgia within the 2020 presidential and congressional races. Submit-civil rights empowerment for Black populations has did not materialize, argues Blow, with racism as pernicious, if no more so, within the “liberal” North because the South. The one method for Black individuals to assert true energy, he says, is thru self-determination—creating massive Black inhabitants facilities in locations like Atlanta and turning the political tide of their path.
